50 different sets of standards, policies, and assessments. I think that we need to figure out how to support a unified national vision of what we want to accomplish and then allow and hold accountable the local units to execute a plan that will work in their context. I am also uncomfortable with our current fiscal policies that rely on local funding. I think that funding provided from a higher level could better support equity. So here’s where I need input/help in framing the challenge. I see this as a leadership issue. I am not sure that I am not predisposed to this perspective as I have worked in the fields of executive and leadership development, talent management, and organizational development. I think that the push for some things to be centralized will help to improve quality and equity and reduce costs. But this can only work if we redefine our expectations for and authority of our leaders. I think that introducing alternative division and school structures and providing development and support for our leaders is essential. As the executive/senior leaders become more effective and more confident, they will be more likely to effectively frame challenges and distribute leadership. If we centralize the standards and funding but don’t help our local organizations and professionals to adapt we are doomed.
If you want your video to be "widescreen" at
a 16:9 ratio and with the high-quality option,
then please consider all of this:
Just about all digital video recorders (DVRs)
function using 720×480 "rectangular" pixels.
Computers have lots of different resolutions,
but they all utilize "square" pixels. As such,
Flash "encoders" can't always compensate
or properly adjust for the difference. Just as
important, lots of downloaders & converters
render uploaded videos "fuzzy-looking" with
rather large square pixels that look as if the
videos were recorded using 120×90. This is
particularly noticeable when there is motion
in the video, or during slide show montages,
when still photos/images segué from one to
another.
DVRs and Hypercams are not "widescreen",
nor does "widescreen" mean high-quality or
high-resolution. The only thing "widescreen"
really means is a "more rectangular" shape.
YouTube accepts file sizes up to 1,024 MB,
so it is now much easier to upload larger or
HQ/HR (high-quality/high-resolution) videos.
Everything on YouTube is (by default) "high
quality", so you shouldn't be worrying about
what you have to do in order to achieve HQ.
If your video is HQ enough, it will be offered
on YouTube as high-quality.
YouTube's old ideal at the very beginning of
summer was 640×480. It seems reasonably
close to the 720×480 resolution of the DVR,
but YouTube really scales all of their videos
"down" to 480×360 (or 640×360 widescreen,
which is the new size of the player window).
Because the ratio may now also be at 16:9,
those types of videos can also be uploaded
at 480×270, 640×360, 864×486 or the really
massive 1280×720 — which is really overkill
for no practical gain. The best option surely
is 640×360. Because the aspect would still
be 16:9, you might get higher-quality videos
by scaling down to the lower number with a
video encoder that's "high-quality", such as
a codec that's H.264, Xvid, Divx or MPEG-4.
This would then accomplish several results:
– a smaller file (thus faster uploading)
– YouTube also has less to "process"
– you control the final scaling of pixels
– the video gets high-quality encoding.
Try this :
In the menu
Tools -> Options
And then the "Advanced tab"
Halfway down the window should be something saying "Video Format"
Change "Video Format" to NTSC and "Aspect Ratio" to 16:9, if they aren't already.
Then once you've finished your film, go to
File -> Publish Movie
Choose "This Computer", choose your name and where you want to save it to. One the next screen choose the option of "MOre Settings" and from the drop down menu choose "Windows Media HD for Micorosft Xbox 360).
Then the exported movie /should/ work with youtube. If you upload it and it doesn't, then you can try converting your movie on
Which will allow you to upload your wmv file, and you'll want to have
"Output Format" as "No Video Preset" and "MPEG-4 .mp4"
And in Advanced Settings
"Frames/sec [4 > 30]" Set at 30
"Video Codec " set at "h264 High Quality"
You'll be uploading it, then downloading the converted from them.
I just can't find a free and decent wmv to h264 mp4 converter
Seems like it could be one, just make sure when you click "open" inside the program you choose "Windows Media Player" on file type..
I hope you get there in the end mate!
- Oh yeah and once you've uploaded it takes like an hour for the "Watch in HD" link to pop up. So don't sit waiting xD

Right this minute, we have hundreds of market research firms looking for survey takers to rate, review and even test consumer products.

How Do I Get Backlinks?
Ahhh…the unpredictability of using "link:" search.
Try the following:
"link: asa.com" on Yahoo or Google. With a space between the colon and the "asa".
Google shows 665 while Yahoo shows a whopping 857,000.
Play around with it.
